Author of the international conference “Standards in Tourism” and the main driver behind its mission.
She holds a holistic and integrated vision: for her, tourism unites the environment, people, and industry into a single mechanism—one that can function effectively only through regulation, responsibility, and a sustainability-based approach.
Her many years of experience span both leading companies in the private sector and working with municipalities and donor organizations to strengthen local tourism. Among her most significant initiatives is the support of various developing municipalities in Georgia, where, through community involvement and consideration of regional specifics, tourism products have been created and conceptual development plans designed. These initiatives not only align with the principles of sustainable development but also address the need to expand economic opportunities.
Within the Georgian Tourism Association, she developed the hotel classification system, designed to provide in-depth business analysis, support hotel growth, improve service quality, and ensure alignment with international standards.
Her vision is clearly reflected in her professional communication: standards serve as a guide that embraces the circular economy, community empowerment, responsible tourism, and the preservation and restoration of authenticity — all of which pave the way toward sustainable development.
Through the “Standards in Tourism” international conference, her goal is to promote professional knowledge exchange, deepen regional cooperation, and strengthen tourism as a system.
